A farewell should never feel like ticking boxes, or force-fitting a life into a template – it should feel like your loved one, from the first word to the final full-stop.
Having supported more than 1,000 families to find the right way to say farewell, one thing has become beautifully clear to me. No two lives are ever the same. So why would two funerals be?
Whether you’re planning a funeral before your loved one is cremated or buried, or a memorial service afterwards, or something that doesn’t fit neatly into either category, together we’ll create a farewell that reflects who they really were, honours the legacy they leave behind and gives you the opportunity to say thank you for their life.
Forget what a funeral should look like. Let’s create one that feels perfect.

FUNERAL CEREMONIES
For many families, this is the moment where everyone comes together for one final time. A moment to collectively grieve, to say thank you, to tell their story, to laugh, to cry, to remember. Because whilst funerals are about saying goodbye, they’re also about something much bigger. They’re the first chapter of learning how to carry your person forward in their absence.
Every ceremony I write starts with a blank page. No templates, no recycled stories, no standard script with names changed.
I’ll spend time getting to know your loved one, discovering the little details that made them who they were, then write every single word from scratch so that the ceremony sounds like it could only have been written for them.
Funeral ceremonies are often held in a crematorium, or churches, but they don’t have to be. If you’d prefer a woodland burial ground, village hall, hotel, rugby club, farm, beach, theatre, pub, garden or somewhere completely unexpected, we can make it happen…it’s whatever feels right for you and them.
People often ask me, “Can we do that at a funeral?” My answer is almost always the same… why not? If it celebrates their life, captures who they were and helps the people left behind begin to heal, then let’s make it happen. The best funerals don’t follow tradition. They follow the story of the person we’re celebrating.

MEMORIAL SERVICES
Not every goodbye has to happen on the day of a funeral. Increasingly, people are choosing Direct Cremation/Burial or private funerals, creating the time and space to celebrate a life later, in a way that can feel less pressured and more personal.
Particularly with Memorial Ceremonies, sometimes called Ashes Services, there are no rules. You might gather with your loved one’s ashes present… but you might not. The ceremony might come days, weeks or even months after you lose a loved one. It could be held on a beach at sunset, in a park at dawn, at a local Golf Club before a round, on a mountain, in a music venue, in a village hall…wherever their story feels most at home.
When it comes to what to include, the only limit is your imagination… live music, family stories, favourite foods, cocktails, laughter, silence, photographs, rituals, lighting candles, memory tables, pets, pints, fireworks, choirs or whatever means the most to your person.
Starting with a blank page can feel overwhelming, especially when emotions are running high. But you don’t have to figure it all out alone. I’ll guide you every step of the way, listening to your ideas, suggesting personal touches you may never have considered and bringing everything together into a meaningful celebration that feels completely true to the person you’re remembering.
Celebration of Life Ceremonies start from £300, including planning meetings, ceremony writing, unlimited communications, event planning, suggestions of rituals and personal touches, and the delivery of your ceremony on the day.
